UCL: Dortmund overturns Lille and joins Barcelona in the quarters
Trailing 1-0 from the 5th minute by Jonathan David, Borussia Dortmund turned the tables to win 2-1 in Lille and qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals.
A defensive mistake by Karim Adeyemi and Pascal Gross allowed David to open the scoring, but Borussia quickly responded. After a penalty converted by Emre Can in the 54th minute, Lille was put under more pressure. Maximilian Beier sealed the victory with an unstoppable shot in the 64th, despite an outstanding performance by Lille's goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who made several crucial saves.
Despite a strong start, Lille couldn't withstand the intensity of the Germans and will be eliminated after a frustrating second leg. Dortmund will now face Barcelona for a place in the semi-finals.
