Vinicius Jr. Demands Huge Pay Rise Amid Saudi Temptation
Real Madrid’s efforts to renew Vinicius Junior’s contract won’t be easy as the Brazilian winger has received lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League. With his current deal running until the summer of 2027, the club may have to break its wage structure to keep him at the Bernabeu.
Salary Battle at Real Madrid
According to AS, Vinicius currently earns net salary of 15 million euro /year but is demanding increase to 20 million euro annually. If Madrid agrees, the 24 year old would surpass Kylian Mbappe, who's set to earn 19 million euro net /season, plus 40 million euro signing bonus after joining on free transfer.
Vinicius believes his contributions in recent seasons make him deserving of the highest status at the club, especially since Mbappe has yet to win major title with Los Blancos.
Dressing Room Tension?
Sport reports that Vinicius’ pay raise could create tension within the squad, particularly with Jude Bellingham, whose salary's reportedly below €10 million per year.
