What future for Sébastien Haller at Dortmund?

Sébastien Haller seems to have no future at Borussia Dortmund anymore. Despite the absence of a true attacking alternative, the German club no longer counts on the Ivorian international. According to Sport Bild, the BVB management no longer considers him a viable option for the future.

His annual salary, estimated at 10 million euros, weighs heavily on the club's finances. An amount deemed excessive given his recent performances. On loan this season at FC Utrecht, Sébastien Haller struggles to regain his best form with only one goal scored in 10 matches.

Under contract until 2026, the former Ajax striker will likely have to find a new destination as early as this summer. A permanent transfer, however, appears complicated due to his high salary, but Dortmund wishes to lighten its wage bill as soon as possible.
