Wilfried Singo turns down Galatasaray and reaffirms loyalty to Monaco!
Ivorian star Wilfried Singo (24) has refused to leave AS Monaco, despite persistent advances from Turkish club Galatasaray, who were eager to sign him during the ongoing summer transfer window.
In this context, Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed in a tweet that the defender has chosen to stay on the Rock to continue with the club’s sporting project, especially with the prospect of playing in the Champions League.
In a message posted on his (X) account, Tavolieri wrote:
"Wilfried Singo has decided to stay at AS Monaco! Despite Galatasaray's approaches, the Ivorian defender is happy on the Rock and wants to play in the Champions League with ASM."
Capable of playing in several defensive positions, Singo can also feature as a right midfielder thanks to his strength, speed, and attacking qualities.
Last season, he made 35 appearances in Monaco colours, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.
His impressive performances have seen his market value soar, now estimated at €25 million, according to the reference site Transfermarkt.
