FIFA has announced its refereeing appointments for the third round of the World Cup.François Letexier will oversee the clash between Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia this Friday at Houston's stadium in Texas.

For the Frenchman, this marks his debut World Cup experience. Letexier already took charge of the Ivory Coast vs Ecuador fixture last Monday, a Group E contest that saw the Elephants claim a 1-0 victory.

He will be assisted in this Group H encounter by his compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni, while South Africa's Abongile Tom has been appointed as the fourth official.

After a strong start to the tournament, Letexier continues his World Cup journey with a pivotal match for qualification.
