After two rounds, Ghana’s goal remains untouched. The Black Stars have showcased remarkable defensive solidity since kicking off their journey at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, first edging Panama 1-0, then holding England to a goalless 0-0 draw.

This defensive resilience places Ghana in an elite circle in African football history. Before them, only three African teams had managed to keep clean sheets in their first two group stage matches at the World Cup.

Cameroon blazed the trail in 1982. Morocco achieved this feat twice, in 1986 and 2022. Nigeria matched that accomplishment in 2014.
