Despite England's qualification for the 2026 World Cup semi-finals, Thomas Tuchel did not hide his disappointment after the hard-fought victory over Norway. The German coach felt his team made things more difficult for themselves and expressed his dissatisfaction with the performance, despite the qualification.

After scoring a decisive brace, Jude Bellingham responded to his manager by highlighting the quality of the opposition:
