In Houston, the Netherlands have surged to a 2-0 lead over Sweden just 17 minutes into the second round of the World Cup.

Brian Brobbey is making all the difference. The Sunderland striker from the Premier League netted a stunning brace. He opened the scoring after a pinpoint assist from Cody Gakpo in the 5th minute, then doubled the lead with a finish from a Denzel Dumfries pass in the 17th.

A blazing start for the Dutch, who are now just one half away from securing their first win at the 2026 World Cup.

After a thrilling 2-2 draw against Japan, the Dutch came out pressing hard. In contrast, Sweden, who swept Tunisia aside 5-1 in their previous outing, are struggling to cope with this relentless tempo and need an urgent response.

Currently, the Oranje have reclaimed top spot in Group F with 4 points, putting them ahead of their rivals.
Japan and Tunisia will face off later at 4 a.m. between Saturday and Sunday.
