World Cup 2026 (Q): Eric Chelle Reveals Nigeria's Final Squad

The head coach of Nigeria, Éric Sékou Chelle, unveiled on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the final list of 23 Super Eagles selected for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

A week after the release of his preliminary list, Eric Sékou Chelle today announced the names of the players chosen for the trip to Kigali on March 21 against Uganda and the home game against Zimbabwe on March 25 in Uyo. The definitive list includes the usual stalwarts of the Super Eagles.

In defense, players like Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ola Aina, captain William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, and Bruno Onyemaechi bring their solidity and experience. In the midfield, Raphael Onyedika, Wilfred Ndidi, and Alex Iwobi are retained. The offensive sector is bolstered by the presence of the strong and essential forwards Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Tolu Arokodare, and Victor Boniface.
