World Cup 2026 (Q): Madagascar's squad list against Central African Republic and Ghana
The head coach of Madagascar, Corentin Martins, officially unveiled the Barea squad list this Wednesday, March 12, 2025, for the matches against the Central African Republic and Ghana in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Corentin Martins, appointed as Madagascar's national coach in January 2025, is gearing up for his first outings with the Barea. The national team will travel to Stade El Arbi Zaouli on March 19 to face the Central African Republic before hosting Ghana at Stade Mimoun-Al-Arsi on March 24. To pursue victory in these matches, the French coach has called upon a group of 23 Barea.
In coach Corentin Martins' list, the arrival of five new players is noted. Dupire Geordan (Swift Hesperange), Noireau-Dauriat Samuel (EA Guingamp), Acapandié Mathieu (FC Nantes), Marcellin Jean Harisson (Beitar Jerusalem), and Iva Tommy (US Orléans) are called up for the first time to Madagascar's national team. Meanwhile, Rakotonomenjanahary J. Baggio and Andrianarimanana Arohasina make their significant return to the Barea.
