World Cup 2026 (Q): Senegal concerned about Abdallah Sima
Abdallah Sima did not participate in the collective training session with the Senegal group this Tuesday due to pain. This situation worries Pape Thiaw and his technical staff just days before the match against Sudan.
The Lions of Teranga held their second training session this Tuesday as part of preparations for the 5th and 6th rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. All players were present, but they did not train together. In fact, only Abdallah Sima warmed up alone. According to reports, he suffered an adductor injury during the last match with Brest before traveling to Dakar.
The Senegalese team will continue their preparation this Wednesday. It remains to be seen if Abdallah Sima is already fit to join the rest of the group. The 23-year-old has been on the rise this season with the Breton club. He has nine goals and two assists with Brest currently. In the national team, he is expected to gain more prominence during this break, especially with the absences of Iliman Ndiaye and Nicolas Jackson.
