Thomas Tuchel unveiled the list of players called up for England’s upcoming training camp this Friday. The Three Lions will play two matches: a friendly against Wales on October 9 at Wembley, followed by an official qualifier against Latvia on October 14 as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Marcus Rashford, who has been in outstanding form in recent weeks, is included in the squad, while Phil Foden has not been called up and Jude Bellingham is being given a well-deserved rest.

This training camp will also give Tuchel the chance to broaden his options. Elliott Anderson returns to the fold after a string of impressive performances with Nottingham Forest, while two fresh faces make their debut: Jarrel Quansah and James Trafford, both of whom could earn their first cap. It’s a bold move by the manager, eager to blend continuity with fresh blood, while resting some key players ahead of upcoming challenges.

England, already a commanding leader of their qualifying group, will approach these two fixtures with confidence. The clash with neighbors Wales will provide a fascinating test before a tricky trip to Latvia. Both matches are scheduled for 7:45 pm.
