World Cup 2026 Qualifiers: Guinea's Squad Featuring Mouctar Diakhaby

National coach Michel Dussuyer officially unveiled Guinea's squad on Monday, March 10, for the 5th and 6th matchdays of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Somalia and Uganda.

Guinea's list comes with numerous surprises. At the top of the list is Serhou Guirassy among the 23 Guinean players called up by coach Michel Dussuyer for the Syli National's gathering during the international break. Then there's the return of Mouctar Diakhaby, Yadaly Diaby, and Dembo Sylla. A new face also joins the fold: Ibrahima Sory Bangoura from KRC Genk in Belgium.

Guinea will face Somalia at Alhassane Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, on March 21 and will then travel to Kampala to play Uganda. The Syli National currently occupies 4th place in Group G with 6 points, behind Algeria, Mozambique, and Botswana.
