Riding the momentum from their equalizer, the Algerian team continued to dictate the tempo against an overwhelmed Ugandan side. The relentless pressure from the Fennecs eventually forced another costly mistake. After a long aerial ball aimed at Amine Gouiri, the opposing goalkeeper rushed out but completely missed his intervention, crashing full-force into the Algerian striker. The heavy collision left both players injured and forced them off the pitch. Immediately after, the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot. Mohamed Amoura, who had already found the net earlier in the match, calmly converted from the spot, becoming the top scorer of these qualifiers with 10 goals, surpassing Mohamed Salah.
