Youssoupha Dabo turns his back on AS Vita Club!
The news had been circulating for a few days, and now it's about to be confirmed by the AS Vita Club management: Youssoupha Dabo is stepping down as head coach. The Senegalese technician, who arrived in Kinshasa with high ambitions, is spending his final hours at the helm of the green and black club.
According to several Congolese media outlets, this amicable separation is due to new responsibilities. Dabo is said to have recently joined the technical staff of the Libyan national team, alongside his compatriot Aliou Cissé.
In addition, he is committed to a training program to obtain the CAF A license, making his daily presence with the team almost impossible.
Youssoupha Dabo requested an early release
The former Azam FC coach reportedly sought a meeting with the club's management to secure his early release. The committee, led by Bestine Kazadi, is said to have granted his request, "praising his professionalism and wishing him well for the future."
In the meantime, assistant coach Bruno Ferry will take over as interim head coach of the first team, pending the arrival of a new staff.
