Zamalek: Is coach José Peseiro on his way out?

José Peseiro might leave his position as Zamalek's head coach following a string of disappointing results. The elimination from the Confederation Cup at the hands of Stellenbosch FC has put his future in doubt.

According to the latest information, the Zamalek board will meet this week to discuss the situation of their coach. Most of the management is considering a change of coach. However, Mido, a member of the planning committee, wants José Peseiro to stay until the end of the season. Hazem Emam, another executive, has mixed opinions.

Spanish coach José Riveiro, currently with the Orlando Pirates, is seen as a candidate to succeed Peseiro. His performances with the Pirates have caught Zamalek's attention, and he might take over the Cairo club at the end of the season. Decisions will need to be made quickly, with the season's end approaching.
