Ronaldo to Al-Hilal, the wild rumor is gaining traction!

As his contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire next June, Cristiano Ronaldo is keeping everyone guessing about his future. Even at 40, the Portuguese superstar continues to shine—he leads the league in scoring with 23 goals—but Saudi media are buzzing about a potential shock move… to rivals Al-Hilal.

Since arriving at Al-Nassr in January 2023, CR7 has continued to dazzle on Saudi pitches. Still, his contract extension remains unresolved.

The outlet Asharq Al-Awsat has taken things a step further, reporting that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner could actually join Al-Hilal, current runners-up in the Saudi Pro League.

The Saudi sovereign wealth fund, PIF, is said to be pushing hard to seal the deal. As for Ronaldo, he reportedly isn't opposed to the idea.

Ronaldo to Al-Hilal to compete in the Club World Cup

To stay at Al-Nassr, the former Real Madrid star is reportedly demanding strict conditions: influence over recruitment, the appointment of a world-class coach, and the arrival of an experienced sporting director. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Palmeiras are closely monitoring the situation.

A switch to Al-Hilal would give Ronaldo the chance to play in the Club World Cup this summer in the United States, in a challenging group that—fittingly—features none other than Real Madrid.

A possible homecoming for CR7? This story is far from over.
