2024 Women's AFCON: Jorge Vilda unveils Morocco squad

Head coach Jorge Vilda announced on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the final squad of 26 Atlas Lionesses selected for the 2024 Women's AFCON, which will be held in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025. The squad is a blend of players competing both in Morocco and across Europe, carefully assembled to capitalize on home advantage.

Starting July 5 on home turf, the Moroccan side will set out in pursuit of their first continental crown. Drawn in Group A, Jorge Vilda's team will need to deliver against Zambia, Senegal, and DR Congo to keep their title hopes alive. The Spanish tactician has meticulously picked his roster, featuring key figures such as Ghizlane Chebbak, Fatima Tagnaout, and Ibtissam Jraidi.

"We're playing at home, we're happy, and we know the supporters are expectant. We want every Moroccan to feel proud of their women's national team. I spent a lot of time thinking, analyzing matches and videos. This is a selection of 26 players capable of going all the way to victory," Jorge Vilda shared.
