2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup: Benin routs Sierra Leone 3-0
In the first leg of the second round of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers Morocco 2026, the Benin national team claimed a resounding 3-0 victory over Sierra Leone at the Keghi Stadium in Lomé.
The U-17 Amazons started strong. Romaine Gandonou opened the scoring in the 16th minute before doubling her tally in the 67th. In between, Diane Dogbé extended the lead with a second goal in the 57th minute.
After eliminating Burkina Faso in the first round, Benin is now within touching distance of the third round and edging closer to the final stage.
The return leg is set for May 29 at the same stadium.
