On Sunday, Brazil suffered a shock defeat in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup at the hands of a surprising Norway side (1-2). Once again, Casemiro and Brazil see their dreams of world glory slip away.

This painful exit for the Seleção extends the drought of a generation overflowing with talent—Neymar, Marquinhos, Casemiro, Alisson, and Thiago Silva among them. As the final whistle blew, Casemiro was inconsolable and did not hide his emotion.
