On Saturday night, Germany had a real scare against Ivory Coast (2-1). Despite this hard-fought victory, the Germans now risk losing Nico Schlotterbeck.

In a press conference, Julian Nagelsmann cast doubt over Nico Schlotterbeck’s health. The defender was forced off with an injury and is now highly questionable for the rest of this 2026 World Cup.

"Nico is suspected to have suffered a ligament injury. It doesn’t look good," declared the German coach, raising fears that the defender’s World Cup could be over.
