The 2026 World Cup could soon face its first disruptions. The clash between France and Iraq is under threat.

A temperature of 33 degrees, rain, and thunderstorms are forecast in Philadelphia during the match between the French national team and Iraq tomorrow. If these predictions come true, the game could be subject to the strict protocol currently in place.

If lightning is detected within a 13-kilometer radius of the stadium, play will be suspended for 30 minutes. Players will be required to return to the locker rooms, and fans must gather in designated safe areas. The interruption may be extended by another half hour if a new lightning strike is detected during the stoppage period.
