England: Thomas Tuchel leaves Palmer, Foden and Mainoo out of his squad (Official)
Thomas Tuchel has named a 25-man squad for November, leaving several high-profile players out despite two crucial UEFA Nations League fixtures.
Thomas Tuchel announced his squad on Friday, November 6, for England's upcoming international break. The Three Lions will face Croatia at Wembley on November 12 before travelling to Madrid to play Spain on November 15. The manager has selected 25 players for these final two group-stage fixtures in the UEFA Nations League. Yet it is those left out who have attracted the most attention.
Palmer, Foden and Mainoo omitted: Tuchel makes some big calls
Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Kobbie Mainoo and Nico O’Reilly are not part of the squad. Palmer had already missed the previous international fixtures following his withdrawal from the last camp for fitness reasons. This time, he has not been recalled. Foden and Mainoo also remain on the sidelines, while Tuchel must cope with the unavailability of Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Tino Livramento and Alex Scott.
Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, Harry Kane and Trent Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, have all been included. Jobe Bellingham and Josh King have received their first senior England call-ups, while Ben White and Djed Spence return to the fold. Tuchel is keeping the core of his squad together while giving new faces an opportunity.

Last international break highlighted by a 7–0 win in Croatia
England's previous international window, played between late September and early October, ended with three wins in four matches. After losing 3–2 to Spain on September 26, England defeated the Czech Republic 2–0 in Prague on September 29, before recording a remarkable 7–0 victory in Croatia on October 3. Tuchel's side rounded off the window with a 3–0 home win over the Czech Republic on October 6, for a total of 14 goals scored and three conceded across four games.
Second in their group with nine points, England could secure a place in the Nations League quarter-finals against Croatia, with a draw enough to qualify. To overtake Spain at the top, however, the Three Lions would need to win their final two games and improve their goal difference. Tuchel's latest squad selection therefore comes at a decisive stage of the competition.
