2026 World Cup: Harry Kane speaks candidly about his ambition with England
In an interview with L'Equipe this Tuesday, Harry Kane shared his thoughts on the 2026 World Cup, which kicks off on June 11.
The England captain is setting the bar high. His goal is clear: lift the most prestigious trophy in the United States.
"The ambition is to win it, obviously. That has to be our target. We know it will be tough, but we've come close in recent years to triumphing at major tournaments: we've reached two European Championship finals (in 2021 and 2024), a World Cup semi-final (in 2018), and a quarter-final (in 2022)... This year, we'll have a new manager (Thomas Tuchel), new players—it's exciting, even though these kinds of tournaments bring a lot of pressure," declared the Bayern Munich striker.
