The former coach believes that the French captain simply has no counterpart in the history of Les Bleus, surpassing even legends like Zinedine Zidane and Michel Platini.

“He scores 0.62 goals per match, while Zidane only managed 0.29. Then there’s his embodiment of the captain’s role, which has been flawless at this World Cup. In that regard, he’s more like Platini, who epitomized captaincy and leadership. All of this means he’s ahead of both of them in every possible aspect,” he declared.
