2026 World Cup qualifiers: Probable lineups for Burkina Faso vs Ethiopia

Burkina Faso wraps up its World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign by hosting Ethiopia this Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. GMT at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou.

Second in Group A with 18 points, the Stallions can no longer catch up to Egypt, who are already group leaders and have qualified for the finals. However, Burkina Faso is still chasing one of the four playoff spots.

Edmond Tapsoba and his teammates will look to defeat the Walyas and rack up as many goals as possible, as goal difference could be decisive for the playoffs. They currently sit fourth among the best runners-up and are virtually qualified.
