Hakimi: “Proud to be considered the best right-back in the world”
In an interview with beIN Sports, Hakimi stated:
“It’s a great pride and a wonderful recognition that so many people consider me the best right-back in the world at the moment. It means that they appreciate the efforts I put in and the work I do, and it motivates me even more to keep progressing.”
The 26-year-old player continued: “Other players also excel in this position, like Jules Koundé, who is having a very good season with Barcelona, or Trent Alexander-Arnold with Liverpool. Not to forget Kyle Walker, whose performances I also follow closely.”
Achraf Hakimi: “Marcelo is my reference”
During this interview, Hakimi also talked about his idol when he started playing as a full-back.
He revealed that the former Brazilian star, recently retired, Marcelo, has always been a source of inspiration for him, despite the fact that he played as a left-back and not a right-back.
