AFCON 2025: Everything you need to know about the prize money!

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the prize distribution for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

According to the Moroccan site Botola, the future African champion will pocket $7 million, while the runner-up will receive $4 million. Each semi-finalist will take home $2.5 million.

For the other stages, CAF has set the following allocations:

• Quarter-finals: $1.3 million per team.
• Round of 16: $800,000.
• Third in group: $700,000.
• Fourth in group: $500,000.

The draw for the 35th edition of the tournament has produced balanced and exciting groups:

• Group A: Morocco – Mali – Zambia – Comoros
• Group B: Egypt – South Africa – Angola – Zimbabwe

• Group D: Senegal – DR Congo – Benin – Botswana
