One of CS Constantine's players is facing the threat of suspension after doping tests revealed the presence of a banned substance, during his participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Suspension threat hangs over Constantine star after doping allegations!
According to the Qatari outlet WinWin, the incident dates back to the second leg against RS Berkane in the semi-finals of the competition, held last April. After the positive test results came out, CAF promptly notified both the Algerian Football Federation and CS Constantine, and decided to provisionally suspend the player pending a final ruling.
The relevant committee is set to hold a hearing in the coming days, giving the player a chance to respond and provide clarifications regarding the charges. If the infraction is confirmed without valid excuses, the suspension could last up to a full year; otherwise, the ban might range from one to three months.
It's worth noting that the player in question was a key element in CS Constantine's campaign, having featured in all matches of the tournament and scored one goal before being temporarily excluded from the squad.
