Al Ahly in Crisis Mode: Five Major Squad Issues Before Domestic Registration Deadline
Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib's set to hold multiple emergency meetings in the coming hours to resolve 5 critical squad issues ahead of the domestic registration deadline this Saturday.
According to exclusive statements made to Kooora, The source stated that the crises are as follows:
Ahmed Abdelkader
The returning winger doesn't want another loan and is pushing for permanent exit, fearing limited game time next season. Al Ahly, however prefer either keeping him or loaning him out with contract extension.
Mohamed Dhaoui Cristo
Back from his loan spell at CS Sfaxien, Cristo via his agent Jean Halin has issued ultimatum: reintegration or contract termination with full payment. The Tunisian winger refuses new loan deal.
Reda Slim
The Moroccan winger's open to loan but only if he receives his 600000 dollar salary. All offers so far fall short maxing out at 300000 dollar creating financial obstacle.
The Petrogate Dilemma
As part of the Ahmed Reda transfer, Petrojet's entitled to loan one Al Ahly player but none of the available squad members are keen on the move complicating the agreement.
Foreign Quota Crunch
Only 5 foreign players can be registered in the 1st list. 4 are locked in:
- Ashraf Dari (Morocco)
- Ashraf Bencharki (Morocco)
- Aliou Dieng (Mali)
- Nejc Gradiaar (Slovenia)
That leaves one remaining slot for either Cristo or Reda Slim. If neither is registered both will become free agents.
New signing Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane will be held for the 2nd list. Meanwhile Yahya Attiat Allah’s loan has officially ended with no renewal planned.
