Algeria A': Madjid Bougherra's squad finally revealed!

Madjid Bougherra has finally unveiled the Algeria A' national team squad for the upcoming November training camp, as preparations ramp up for the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar. The group has undergone a major overhaul, reflecting the start of a new era that the coach is aiming to launch, while still retaining a core of experienced players.

Among the biggest surprises is the inclusion of Islam Slimani, Algeria's all-time top scorer, currently with CFR Cluj. His call-up perfectly embodies the blend of experience and fresh faces. Another notable return is Riyad Boudebouz, captain of JS Kabylie, who, at 35, is expected to mentor a hungry new generation. One of the sensations of the moment, Nassim L’Ghoul from CS Constantine, is also included, confirming his meteoric rise in the league.

On the other hand, the absence of Youcef Belaïli has not gone unnoticed and is sure to spark debate. The squad will gather in the coming days before flying to Cairo, where two high-profile friendlies against Egypt (November 14 and 17) will serve as a real-world test as they gear up to defend their 2022 title.
