Angolan Núrio Fortuna joins Volos FC on loan

Núrio Fortuna has signed with Volos FC in Greece this weekend, joining the club on loan until the end of the season. The Angolan left-back arrives from KAA Gent, following a recent loan spell at Dunkerque.

After returning from a loan this summer, the Palancas Negras defender is once again leaving Gent for another season away from the Belgian side. This time, Núrio Fortuna is heading to Greece. His arrival at Volos was made official on June 21, after the 30-year-old successfully completed the customary medical tests. It's a loan move with no purchase option, but it still gives the Angolan the chance to reignite his career. Núrio Fortuna, who remains under contract with Gent for another year, will be a free agent at the end of the 2025/2026 season.
