Baïla Diallo nears move to Spanish second division
Baïla Diallo

Now a free agent following the end of his contract with Clermont Foot, Baïla Diallo looks set to revive his career in Spain. The 23-year-old left-back is on the verge of finalizing a deal with Andalusian side Granada FC, who compete in the Segunda División.

The Senegalese-born defender is coming off a strong season in Ligue 2 with Clermont Foot, clocking up 2,748 minutes across 34 matches. At the end of his stint, Baïla Diallo opted not to extend his stay with the Auvergne club, despite an offer from management. He now appears tempted by a fresh challenge in Spain.

According to reports, Granada CF are carefully planning their summer transfer window to strengthen their full-back options and have set their sights on Baïla Diallo. Negotiations between the parties are believed to be at an advanced stage.
