Barcelona FC close to securing their second summer signing!
After officially announcing the arrival of young goalkeeper Juan García (24) by triggering his release clause at Espanyol, Barcelona FC continues to move with ambition, this time targeting Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.
According to Sky Sport Germany, the Catalan club has decided to activate Williams's release clause, set at €62 million, aiming to finalize his transfer in the coming weeks. The player's current contract with Bilbao runs until June 2027.
Transfer market specialist journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Williams has made Barcelona his absolute priority, even though the club has yet to submit an official offer to the Basque side.

Meanwhile, French media outlets, including Foot Mercato, report that Barcelona has reached a verbal agreement with Williams for a contract running until the summer of 2031.
The Barcelona board seems determined to wrap up the deal quickly, especially since the player has made it clear he wants to join new head coach Hansi Flick's ambitious project and wear the Blaugrana shirt.
