Besiktas parts ways with Cynthia Shilwatso

Cynthia Musungu Shilwatso’s Turkish adventure has come to an early end. The Kenyan striker is among 16 players released by the Beşiktaş Women's Football Club, according to an official statement issued on Wednesday, July 2.

Arriving in November 2024 from Krivybas (Ukraine), Cynthia Musungu Shilwatso was unable to establish herself in the Istanbul squad. Limited playing time and a challenging adaptation period led to the termination of her contract four months before its originally scheduled end.

Before joining Beşiktaş, the 24-year-old had previously played for DUX Logrono in Spain, Fountain Gate Princess in Tanzania, and Krivybas, with whom she featured in the UEFA Women's Champions League. She has earned over 20 caps for the Kenyan national team.
