CAF: 14th Extraordinary General Assembly to be Held in Cairo (Official)
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced this Saturday, March 8, via an official statement, the holding of its 14th Extraordinary General Assembly on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Cairo. The event will be broadcast live on the official CAF website as well as on CAF TV.
This meeting will bring together major figures in African football, including the presidents of the 54 member federations and the six zonal unions, as well as influential personalities from international football. Patrice Motsepe, President of CAF, will lead this session.
A Key Event for African Football
In advance of this assembly, several events are planned, according to the governing body of African football:
- March 10: The zonal union meetings of CAF will be chaired by Dr. Motsepe. In the evening, a friendly match will pit CAF officials against former African football legends.
- March 11: The CAF Executive Committee will meet to review the progress of African football and define future strategic directions.
- March 12: The Extraordinary General Assembly will be held in the morning, followed by an official press conference led by the President of CAF.
This key event is expected to set the main directions for African football in the coming years.
