Cameroon dominates Africa’s most expensive XI of 2025
The specialist website Transfermarkt has released its latest update on Africa's most valuable team for 2025. The total value of this lineup has reached €542 million, bringing together several of the continent’s brightest stars playing in top European leagues.
A remarkable Cameroonian presence
This selection stands out for its strong Cameroonian representation, featuring three key players: André Onana, Carlos Baleba, and Bryan Mbeumo.
Goalkeeper André Onana, regarded as one of the best on the continent, is valued at €20 million.
Midfielder Carlos Baleba, who is making waves in the Premier League, boasts a market value of €40 million.
As for Bryan Mbeumo, his stock has soared to €55 million following his high-profile transfer to Manchester United.
Beyond the Cameroonian stars, this team brings together several of African football’s leading figures.
Headlining the squad is Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, the continent’s most valuable player with an estimated worth of €80 million.
The Egyptians Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush also feature, alongside Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen.
