A major blow for the reigning African champions who will miss a versatile player in attack.

Having suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his knee with his club Empoli, the native of Abidjan will face a long absence that could exceed 7 months.

It is highly likely that he will regain his best form quickly due to the severity of his injury, which requires a long period of rest.

Christian Kouamé's stats

An international since 2019, the former Genoa player has participated in 27 matches across all competitions, with a record of 3 goals scored. His last appearance was in September during the match against Zambia for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
