CAN féminine 2024 - Nigeria: Francisca Ordega ruled out for the final

Nigeria women's national team coach, Justin Madugu, will once again have to do without Francisca Ordega for the final of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations against Morocco.

The Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) star did not train with her teammates ahead of the final, which will be played on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 20:00 GMT in Rabat.

This absence is not expected to have a major impact on Nigeria, as the team has already played without their striker in the first two matches against Tunisia and Botswana, as well as in the semi-final against South Africa.

Francisca Ordega is aiming for her fifth Women's AFCON title, having already lifted the trophy in 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018. She also boasts four Women's World Cup appearances with the Super Falcons (2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023).
