CAN U17: Côte d'Ivoire vs Burkina Faso, a derby for honor

The CAN U17 2025 is nearing its conclusion, but before the grand finale, another clash will capture attention this Friday: the third place playoff between Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso. Two neighbors from West Africa, two teams frustrated just shy of the final, yet still eager to fight for the bronze medal.

Kick-off and broadcast: key details

The match will kick off at 8 PM Moroccan time (GMT+1) at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. In Côte d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso, tune in at 7 PM, while in France, it will be available from 9 PM.

The game will be broadcast live on the FIFA+ platform and CAF's YouTube channel (CAF TV), ensuring you won't miss this promising fixture.

Bronze at stake, pride to defend

Burkina Faso, third in 2023, hopes to relive the same sensation this year. Côte d'Ivoire, on the other hand, has been chasing a continental podium for two decades.

The stakes are twofold: to salvage honor, but also to leave with a medal that rewards the hard work and talent of a young generation.

Tapsoba vs Haïdara: the anticipated duel

It should be noted that this match could also serve as the climax of an exciting duel between the tournament's two top scorers: Ashraf Tapsoba (7 goals) for Burkina Faso and Alynho Haïdara (6 goals) for Côte d'Ivoire.

While both players somewhat vanished from the spotlight during the semi-finals, this final encounter represents a last chance to shine, make a difference, and etch their names at the top of the scoring charts.
