CHAN 2024: CAF announces host countries for opening match and final

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced on Wednesday the countries that will host the key moments of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to take place from August 2 to 30, 2025.
The opening ceremony will be held in Tanzania, which will also host part of the group stage. Meanwhile, Kenya has been selected to stage the grand final, offering the nation a golden opportunity to shine on the continental stage. As for Uganda, it will be the venue for the third-place playoff.
Organized for the first time by three countries, this CHAN 2024 marks a new era of regional cooperation for East Africa, which hopes to use the event as a springboard for the development of local football.
