The oldest Tunisian club bowed out of the tournament in the first round, finishing third in their group behind Flamengo and Chelsea, but ahead of Los Angeles.

In their Club World Cup debut, the Tunisian champions suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brazil's Flamengo. They bounced back on matchday two by securing a narrow win over Los Angeles, but ultimately fell again on the final day, losing 3-1 to Chelsea.

How much will Espérance earn from the Club World Cup?
Espérance de Tunis will receive $11.5 million for their participation in the Club World Cup, including €9.55 million as a qualification bonus for making the tournament.

The Algerian international was undoubtedly Espérance’s top performer at the Club World Cup. Not only did he score against Los Angeles, but he also gave Flamengo’s defenders a tough time in their opening fixture.
