Club World Cup: Al Ahly fall to Palmeiras

Second outing and first defeat for Al Ahly in this 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. After a frustrating goalless draw against Inter Miami (0-0), the Egyptians were beaten 2-0 this time by Palmeiras.

The turning point came right after the break: Wessam Abou Ali scored an unfortunate own goal from a poorly defended corner (48'). Just a few minutes later, José Manuel Lopez capitalized on a lightning-fast counterattack to double the lead (60').
