Wydad Casablanca is set to give a full opportunity to interim coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem.

The successor to South African Rhulani Mokwena has been officially confirmed in his role, according to well-informed Moroccan sources.

According to the newspaper “almountakhab”, Benhachem faces the tremendous challenge of coaching the team at the upcoming Club World Cup, which will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13.

For the record, the Casablanca club will compete in Group G alongside Manchester City, Juventus, and Al Ain Club.

Holder of a UEFA Pro License, Benhachem has made his mark throughout Morocco, with stints at FUS Rabat, SC Chabab Mohammédia, Olympique Khouribga, Olympique Safi, Ittihad Tanger, and Wydad Fès, among others.

His track record includes 155 matches in the Moroccan league, boasting 48 wins, 57 draws, and 50 defeats.
