Regarding Wojciech Szczesny, Deco announced that the goalkeeper will extend his contract with Barça and remain part of the goalkeeping group alongside Inaki Pena, Marc-André ter Stegen, and Juan García.

As for Ronald Araujo, Deco made it clear that his departure is not being considered, especially after the recent signing of a new contract. He insisted on Araujo’s indispensable role as a defensive linchpin.

On the transfer front, Deco expressed the club’s interest in Nico Williams, the Athletic Bilbao forward. However, he stated that Barça does not feel the need to sign a new striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, instead relying on Ferran Torres and Adrian Danni Olmo to strengthen the attack.

Additionally, Deco discussed the possibility of loaning out Ansu Fati to give him more playing time, particularly in light of interest from clubs such as Monaco.

Finally, Deco specified that the club may finalize one last major signing this summer, highlighting that the arrival of a player like Nico Williams or Luis Díaz would mark the end of the club’s summer strengthening.
