During a ceremony at the People's Palace, President Félix Tshisekedi announced that the national team players and technical staff would receive exceptional rewards worthy of this monumental achievement.

This announcement comes after the Leopards defeated Jamaica (1-0) in extra time—a victory that secured DR Congo a ticket to the World Cup for the first time in 52 years.
