Double scorer Ousmane Sow targeted by racism in Poland

During the Polish Cup match, Górnik Zabrze defeated Lechia Gdańsk 3-1. However, the match was overshadowed by scandal as supporters hurled racist chants at Ousmane Sow, the Senegalese striker who netted a brace for Górnik.

After his two opening goals, the stands erupted with chants: "F*** the Negro, Lechia is a white team." Monkey noises were also heard from the crowd. Journalist Adam Kiedrowski condemned these actions:

It's absurd to chant 'Lechia is a white team' when there are Black players in the squad.

Despite this, Górnik advances to the next round of the Polish Cup.
