Manchester City and Brentford will face off this Wednesday, December 17 at 7:30 pm GMT in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

The Citizens have lifted the trophy eight times (1970, 1976, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), while Brentford have never claimed the title.

Pep Guardiola is still without Kovacic, Rodri, and Stones, who have now been joined in the treatment room by Doku. Marmoush and Aït-Nouri, both called up for AFCON with Egypt and Algeria respectively, will also be absent.

Manchester City vs Brentford

Milambo, Fabio Carvalho, and Dasilva are confirmed absentees for Brentford, while Nelsson remains a doubt. Ouattara and Onyeka are away at AFCON with the Stallions and the Super Eagles, respectively.
