Empoli: Christian Kouamé opens his goal account!

Christian Kouamé lit up the Serie A pitches by scoring his very first goal with his new team. The Ivorian striker from Empoli proved decisive by securing an equalizer against Como (1-1) this Saturday, thus confirming his offensive potential.

A saving equalizer

Empoli, mired in the battle for survival, was trailing 1-0 when Kouamé seized his chance. In the 75th minute, from a precise cross by Pezzella delivered from the left side, the Ivorian rose with mastery to place an unstoppable header.

For Kouamé, this goal ends a long drought. His last goal in Serie A dated back to April 2024, when he was still playing for Fiorentina.

Since joining Empoli during the winter transfer window, the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations champion had only managed one assist in seven appearances.

This first goal could well symbolize a fresh start for the Abidjan native, who aspires to establish himself as a major asset in his team's fight for survival.
