Now 30 years old, Afsha joined the Alexandria club during the last winter transfer window on a loan deal running until the end of the season.

Delivering impressive performances, he played a crucial role in his team's turnaround, helping them move away from the relegation zone. His displays prompted Al Ittihad's management to attempt to keep him on a permanent basis.

However, Al Ahly has made the call to bring the player back at the end of the season. This decision is mainly due to the dip in form of Tunisian Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane and the uncertainty surrounding Emam Ashour's future.

To recap, Afsha joined Al Ahly in 2019 from Pyramids FC. Since then, he has played 277 matches, scored 45 goals, and provided 50 assists.
